About

Daughter of Wolves is an independent production company based in the North of England, dedicated to unearthing bold, untold stories from the region.

Rooted in the mythos and grit of the North, we champion underrepresented voices—working-class, female-led, and diverse perspectives that challenge the status quo. With a fierce commitment to authentic storytelling, we craft films and series that resonate with truth, rebellion, and raw human experience.

The Team

Rachel McClelland is a writer and director from Northern England.

Having cut her teeth with Michael Winterbottom on the Palme d’Or nominated ’24 Hour Party People’, she worked with Head Gear’s Phil Hunt before establishing her own production company and producing music videos for the likes of Jay Z, Calvin Harris and Dizzee Rascal.

Over the past five years, she has been honing her writing and directing skills, working on films for brands and on short films. Her debut short, ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, has been selected for a variety of festivals.

Rachel is currently working on two screenplays, ‘Black Mountain’ and ‘The Voiceless’, as well as a television series, ‘Fairground’.

Sarah Foster is the commercial powerhouse behind Daughter of Wolves, bringing sharp business acumen, and a deep understanding of media sales and sustainability to the company.

With a background in driving commercial success across the creative industries, she is the producing force that ensures our stories not only get made but find their audience.

Passionate about purpose-driven storytelling, Sarah blends strategic insight with a fierce commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, making her an integral part of the company’s vision and impact.
